Taylor-Made at Uptown Singer-Songwriter Contest
The Grand Prize Winner will receive:
- $1,000 Gift Certificate to Taylor’s Music Store and Studios
- $250 credit toward a recording session at TribeSound Productions
- Opportunity to open for an artist at Uptown
- Four complimentary tickets to an Uptown performance
- Gift bag
Audition submissions are open from May 1 through June 1.
To be considered, applicants must submit a YouTube video link featuring an original performance piece of their choosing.
Eligibility & Requirements
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Open to solo, self-accompanying artists only
• All material must be original
What Happens Next
Selected applicants will be invited to compete as semi-finalists in this year’s competition and perform live at Uptown. A total of nine semi-finalists will move on to the preliminary rounds.
Semi-finalists will perform live at Uptown’s Univest Second Stage across three preliminary rounds:
July 8 – Preliminary Round
July 15 – Preliminary Round
July 22 – Preliminary Round
Each artist will perform a 20-minute set.
At each preliminary performance, audience voting will determine which artists advance. A total of six finalists will move on to the Grand Finale.
August 5 at 7:30 PM – Mainstage
The top six finalists will take the Mainstage and perform for a panel of professional judges.
At the end of the evening, one outstanding artist will be crowned the grand prize winner.
