Listening In! presents “From my Life” – Stories in Music and Words

Listening In
A powerful night of music and storytelling — pay what you will and experience life through the lens of a string quartet.

Listening In! presents “From My Life” – Stories in Music and Words, an intimate and moving evening of chamber music performed by violinists Freya Creech and Karen Dekker, violist Hannah Nicholas, and cellist Justin Yoder.

At the heart of the program is String Quartet No. 1 (Smetana) by Bedřich Smetana — a deeply personal and melodically gripping work in which the composer reflects on his own joys, struggles, and profound life experiences. Through music and guided storytelling, the ensemble explores how composers transform memory, love, hardship, and triumph into sound. Audiences will gain insight into the human stories behind the notes, making this more than a concert — it’s a shared artistic journey.

This is a Pay What You Will event, because access to meaningful arts experiences should be open to all. Choose the ticket price that feels right for you and join us for an unforgettable evening of music that speaks straight to the heart.
