Since its founding in 1995, The Cartoon Christmas Trio has become one of the region’s premier interpreters of the beloved holiday music from classic animated Christmas specials—most notably A Charlie Brown Christmas. Dedicated to capturing the warmth, charm, and unmistakable jazz sound of Vince Guaraldi and his contemporaries, the trio has spent more than three decades delighting audiences with the timeless music of the holiday season.
Now celebrating its 31st season, The Cartoon Christmas Trio has performed at renowned venues including the Kimmel Center, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Milton Theatre, the Queen Theater, World Café Live, Winterthur Museum, and the Reading Public Museum. Their music has also been featured on NPR, ABC, FOX, and NBC.
The trio features Larry Marshall on drums, Jeff Knoettner on piano, and Rob Swanson on double bass. For this special performance, they are once again joined by the talented young voices of the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District and world-class baritone Grant Youngblood.
