Madagascar – A Musical Adventure – TYA

This TYA production is open to teen performers (grades 6 and up) with prior stage experience. This is an exciting opportunity for young performers to grow their skills in a fun, fast-paced, and supportive environment.

Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and, of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins as they bound onto your stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime.  Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar – A Musical Adventure follows all of your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.

Auditions: Saturday September 5th 10am-5:00pm

Callbacks: Wednesday September 16th 4:30pm-8:00pm

Audition Needs: Please prepare 32 measures (approx. 1 minute) of a song in the style of the show. Please bring a headshot and resume with you to auditions.

Rehearsal schedule:
Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00 pm & Sundays from 1:30-5:30 pm. Performers will only be called to rehearsal when needed.

If you can’t make the in-person audition, you may send in a video audition. Audition videos along with completed audition forms must be received no later than noon on Saturday September 5th. Please submit audition videos to uptownstudio@uptownwestchester.org and put Madagascar Audition in the subject field.
