Vocalist Jack Giampalmi brings his smile, charm, and entertaining nature to the microphone, especially in a concert like “Sinatra and Friends”. Enjoy the great music – and you will – as Jack wields the lyrics with his passionate delivery, a la none other than the king of lyrical phrasing, Frank Sinatra.

And… Jack could not be Jack without the amazing sounds of a full orchestra, one of the best, the Jump City Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Bob Wagner. Bob, a magnificent musician, is an in-demand trumpeter, soloist, and bandleader, who also directs the chamber brass ensemble “The Hickory Brass”, and is a featured performer with Victor Records and Vox Ama Deux Chamber Orchestra.

Jack’s vocals blend perfectly with Jump City’s orchestral charts originated by Nelson Riddle, Quincy Jones, Cahn and Van Heusen, Gershwin, Porter, Mercer, the Count, and many other masters. Now Jack and Jump City will bring you these sounds once again. In addition to Sinatra classics, you will also be entertained with familiar American Songbook tunes which will bring to mind Bobby Darin, Dean Martin, and other great vocalists. The energy of Jump City with Bob at the helm reminds audiences of the jump swing sound of Brian Setzer, Count Basie, Buddy Rich, and other greats.

Jack comes to Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center with over 15 years of professional singing experience after a 40+ year career centered around many facets of the chemical and environmental industry. He’s been everything from research chemist to marketing manager, patent developer to consultant, and keynote speaker to corporate director. And you can even throw in avid Baseball player too!

Bob’s talents led him from a successful corporate career in electrical engineering as a marketing executive to being one of the best trumpet players and band leaders in the area, notably for The Jump City Jazz Orchestra. Bob, with his versatile blend of commercial and classical trumpet playing, has performed to standing ovations across the country in some of the nation’s most prestigious halls—including New York’s Carnegie Hall.
