Super Storytellers, Ages 3-K
Remember the pre-internet age? Where kids were never “plugged in”? Where Let your child’s imagination take center stage in this joyful, play-based introduction to theatre. Super Storytellers invites young performers to explore movement, song, and character through themed activities that spark creativity and confidence. With guidance from professional teaching artists, students use their imaginations to journey through jungles, sail the seas, and create magical moments—no screens, just pure make-believe. This class supports early performance skills, social development, and a lifelong love of storytelling.

Broadway Kiddos, Grades K-2
Singing, Dancing, Acting and Fun! That is what this high energy beginner musical theater class is all about. Perfect for kids who love to sing, dance, and act out their favorite stories! Broadway Kiddos introduces young performers to musical theatre fundamentals in a fun, inclusive environment. Students build confidence and teamwork through games, group activities, and musical numbers from popular children’s shows. Along the way, they learn basic stage direction, rhythm, and vocal technique—growing as both performers and collaborators.
Performers in the fall session will perform in the Holiday Cheer Concert at Uptown on the main stage on Friday, December 5th. The winter and spring sessions performers will have a final performance on the final day of class at 5:30 pm.

This energetic acting class helps students develop imagination, collaboration, and confidence through improvisation, storytelling, and scene creation. Whether outgoing or reserved, every student has a place to shine as they learn to create characters, use voice and movement expressively, and work as an ensemble.

Acting Academy 1, Monday, Grades 3-4
For students ready to dive deeper into acting, this class explores character development, voice, movement, and short scene work. Through games, improvisation, and rehearsal, students learn how actors bring stories to life. With guidance from theatre professionals, they work together to create original pieces and develop strong ensemble skills.

Designed for young performers who love to sing, this class focuses on vocal technique, expression, and musical storytelling. With support from a professional actor, music director and live piano accompaniment, students work on both solo and group songs—developing stage presence, musicality, and confidence.

Classes: If you withdraw from a class up to two weeks before the start date, you will receive a credit for the full registration amount, minus a $20 processing fee. This credit can be applied to a future Uptown Studio class or camp. No credits or refunds will be issued after this period. Credits are valid only for Uptown Studio classes and camps and cannot be used for performance tickets at Uptown.
Summer Camps: If you withdraw before May 15, you will receive a credit for the full registration amount, minus a $50 processing fee, to be applied to a future Uptown Studio class or camp. After May 15, no credits or refunds will be issued. Credits are valid only for Uptown Studio classes and camps and cannot be used for performance tickets at Uptown.
Returned Checks: A $45 fee will apply to any returned checks.
Please note: Uptown Studio does not issue refunds. Credits towards future classes or camps are the only form of compensation offered.
