2024-25 CLASSES
Please review the important information below to ensure everything goes smoothly for you and your performer
First Day Arrival:
Please enter through the front doors of the Uptown Knauer Performing Arts Center 10-15 minutes before your class begins. We’ll welcome your performer, confirm their contact details, and provide a brief tour of our facilities. This is a great opportunity for parents to ask any questions before the class starts. For subsequent classes, please refer to the regular drop-off instructions below.
Regular Drop-off Instructions:
For the following classes, please drop off
AND pick up your performer in the back alley:
• Acting Academy 1
• Acting for the Camera
• Advanced Improv
• Audition Prep
• Broadway Kiddos
• Fundamentals of Theatre
• Improv
• Singing Academy
• Super Storytellers
• Uptown Singers

For these classes, drop off at the front
and pick up in the back alley:

To easily find the back alley of the Performing Arts Center, face the theatre on High Street, take the alley on the left side of the building, and follow it down until you see a right-hand alley leading to the rear of the center.
Pick-up Guidelines:
For classes with back-alley pick-up: Please drive to the end of the alley, pull up as close as possible to the car in front of you, and remain in your vehicle. We will safely bring your performer to you.
For classes with front pick-up:
Please approach the front entrance of the Performing Arts Center and wait in your vehicle. Our staff will assist your performer to your car.
What to Wear and Bring:
Please avoid flip-flops. We recommend comfortable clothing that allows your performer to move freely and express themselves. A water bottle is encouraged, and if your performer has consecutive classes, please pack a snack or lunch that does not require refrigeration.
Questions and Attendance:
If you have any questions or if your performer will be late or absent, please don’t hesitate to contact Therese Walden Murphy, Director of Education, at 610-356-2787 ext #2 or via email at therese@uptownwestchester.org.
Share Your Thoughts:
We’re Here to Support Your Performer! If your performer encounters any difficulties with the class, please inform us as soon as possible. Addressing concerns early helps us ensure a positive and supportive experience for your performer.
