Uptown Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy discloses the practices for Uptown Entertainment Alliance, aka Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center (the “Company”) and its website; 

This Policy notice applies solely to information collected by its website and through other communications with the personnel the Company serves.  The Company commits to openly share with its members and customers (“Users”) information as to:

  • What data the Company collects;
  • With whom it is shared;
  • How it can be corrected;
  • How it is secured;
  • How policy changes will be communicated; and
  • How to address concerns over misuse of personal data.
  • Discovery of what data the Company has retained.
  • Change/correct any data regarding the subject User.
  • Deletion of data maintained for such User.
  • Expression of concerns with the Company’s use of data.

The Company shares “aggregated demographic” data with its partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. Additionally, the company may partner with other parties to provide specific services. When a User signs up for these services, the Company will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services.


The Company takes precautions to protect information of its members and customers. When Users submit sensitive information via the website, their information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever the Company collects sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. Users can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of the web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

Only employees who need information to perform a specific job (e.g. billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers on which personally identifiable information is stored are kept in a secure environment.

Website Cookies

The Company uses “cookies” on its site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s hard drive to help us improve access to the Company’s website and identify repeat visitors. For instance, when the Company uses a cookie to identify a User, such User would not have to log in with a password more than once, thereby saving time while on the site. Cookies can also enable the Company to track and target the interests of its users to enhance their website experience. Some of the Company’s business partners (e.g., advertisers) may use cookies on their websites. However, the Company has no access to or control over these cookies.

Surveys & Contests

From time-to-time the Company’s website requests information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and a User may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this website.
