Masterworks 2: Songs Without Borders

BVS Masterworks
A symphonic journey where music knows no borders.

Embark on a global musical journey with Masterworks 2: Songs Without Borders. This program weaves together vivid soundscapes and cultural influences that transcend borders and time. Experience Gabriela Lena Frank’s Elegía Andina, a moving tribute to her Peruvian heritage; Max Bruch’s beloved Violin Concerto No. 1, featuring soloist Oliver Neubauer; the elegant and impressionistic beauty of Debussy’s Petite Suite; and the exhilarating rhythms of Zoltán Kodály’s Dances of Galánta.

Rich in color, energy, and emotion, this concert celebrates music’s power to connect humanity across cultures. Your ticket includes a pre-concert talk with Music Director Michael Hall, the performance, and a post-concert Q&A with the conductor, soloist, and select musicians.
