Stephanie Phillips has been singing, playing guitar, and writing music from an early age. She has performed all over the United States, including many clubs in New York City such as the SpeakEasy and the Village Gate. Opening for Emmy Lou Harris in Lenox, MA in the early 1990’s was a highlight of Stephanie’s career. Performing at Uptown! has been a goal since Stephanie was on the ground floor of the effort to transform it from the armory to the grand theater it is today.
Stephanie describes her music as “progressive folk”, taking her inspiration from giants such as Billy Joel, James Taylor, and Dan Fogelberg. Her latest CD, entitled “What Have I Lost?” has just released this month. She lives in West Chester, PA and her daughters attend college at University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
